Green lentils are slightly larger than red lentils, which we also stock.

We use these exact same sprouting green lentils to grow our wholesale lentil sprouts, sold throughout the UK in places like Abel & Cole, Planet Organic, The Organic Delivery Company, and Langridge Organic. We mix the red and green together; it has a great flavour and we get more colours into our diet.

Can I eat Green Lentil Sprouts raw?

Yes, they can be eaten raw. However, if you prefer a softer texture, they can be lightly cooked.

Sprouting Instructions

How to Sprout Green Lentils

  1. Rinse 1 cup of sprouting green lentils and remove any debris or stones.
  2. Soak the lentils in cold water for 8-12 hours.
  3. Drain the water and rinse the lentils again.
  4. Place the lentils in a sprouting jar.
  5. Rinse and drain the lentils twice a day.
  6. Your sprouts should be ready in 2-3 days, when the sprouted tail is about 1cm long.
  7. Store your sprouted green lentils in a container in the fridge
