Okay, full disclosure, we love Sunflower! It is the most consumed sprout in our house. Highly underrated in our opinion, it has all the benefits of sunflower seeds, (rich in omegas, beneficial oils, fatty acids) but super-concentrated due to being sprouted. Perfect to keep your skin hair and nails looking beautiful. These babies are also a mega protein hit. Being vegans, they come in handy in so many ways. We make delicious tomato pasta sauces and chuck sunflower in right at the end to give some crunch, whizz them up into a fine powder and chuck them in sauces, pesto and salad dressings, and make Sunflower Falafels, substituting them for Chickpeas to up the protein content. Good for raw breads, pates, muesli, the list goes on. Oh, and we put a generous handful in our morning smoothie every single day! Nutty and delicious, they’re the perfect snack all on their own.
100g of beans will produce approximately 250g of sprouts in 2 – 3 days.

How long can I store the seeds for before planting? Planting at 100g at a time, 1 kg would last me 2 months.
How long are you meant to soak sunflower seeds at the start .? I looked on your site and couldn’t find any info on soaking times . Initially I soaked them for about 1.5 hours but the subsequent growing of them failed.Thanks
Your soak time should actually be more around 8 – 12 hours.
