Broccoli Sprouting Seed Health Benefits
Broccoli sprouts are regarded as a nutritional phenomenon and are one of the most popular seed types for sprout and microgreen growers.
Broccoli sprouts are especially popular for their high levels of glucoraphanin, a compound which the body converts into sulforaphane. There has been growing evidence linking sulforaphane to a range of health benefits.
Raw vegetables produce higher levels of sulforaphane than cooked vegetables, which makes broccoli sprouts such a popular choice for maximum sulforaphane intake over vegetables such as broccoli.
Broccoli sprouts contain very high levels of vitamin C, an excellent immune booster and a source of antioxidants. They also contain high levels of vitamin A, calcium and iron.

Just eaten my first sprouted broccoli and they are delicious!!! I was concerned i might have to force it down to get the goodness but surprised me with being tasty and crunchy! I’m going to have to get more jars to keep them coming! Fast delivery and great jars from Sky Sprouts. Highly recommended.

We have been sprouting these for over a year now, and just started our 3rd kilo bag!
So easy to grow, we use about 2 table spoons to a large jar and cover with a piece of muslin and an elastic band. After the initial 12 hour soaking, I rinse and drain through the muslin, then place at an angle in a bowl against the wall. several days later, they are ready to store in the fridge!

I’ve just eaten my first batch and feel quite smug about growing my own veg on the kitchen workbench! It definitely beats battling with caterpillars in a veg plot and super quick too. Soaked on Saturday night and eaten on Friday. I enjoyed the crunchy texture in a tuna sandwich. Love to read all about the health benefits and an excellent service.
